João Henrique Amorim

João Henrique Amorim's work experience begins in 2004 as an English teacher at Fisk Centro de Ensino, where they taught teenagers, adults, and seniors, specializing in TOEFL coaching. João Henrique later became the Pedagogical Coordinator, responsible for hiring, training, and supervising teachers, as well as addressing pedagogical issues with students and parents.

In 2008, João joined Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU) as a VBA Excel Developer in the HR Department. João Henrique automated the employee assessment process, significantly reducing the time and manpower required for the task.

In 2014, João transitioned to Senado Federal as a Full Stack Developer. João Henrique designed and implemented a financial management system using Java/Springboot, Angular/Typescript, and Oracle SQL Database. João Henrique also integrated the system with the central government financial system through SOAP webservices. João applied best practices such as pair programming, code reviews, automated tests, and continuous integration to ensure software quality while enabling new team members to deliver code to production quickly.

Most recently, in 2022, João joined AvantStay, initially as a Senior Data Engineer. In this role, they created and maintained data pipelines using Python in an AWS serverless architecture, implemented data models in a Clickhouse database, and optimized SQL queries for analytics reporting.

Currently, João holds the position of Software Engineering Manager at AvantStay, starting in March 2023. The details of this role are not provided.
