Ian Pimlott has extensive work experience in finance and commercial management. Ian started their career as a Graduate Trainee at Caudwell Group in 1996 and then joined DHL as a Finance Trainee. Ian later worked at BP as a Business Controller for Chemicals and then as a Logistics Performance and Contract Manager for Lubricants. Ian joined United Biscuits as a Site Accountant, where they were responsible for finance and acted as a business partner to the manufacturing and engineering teams. Ian then moved to Olleco as a Senior Commercial Management Accountant, where they provided financial leadership and business partnering to various teams, including manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial. Ian later worked at Refresco as the Head of Commercial Finance for Cott Beverages Ltd. Finally, Ian joined Avara Foods as the Head of Finance for Agriculture, where they are currently responsible for financial control and business partnering for the Turkey & Duck Business Units. In this role, they oversee commercial, operations, supply chain, and financial control across multiple manufacturing sites and an agriculture estate.
Ian Pimlott attended Blythe Bridge High School & Sixth Form from 1984 to 1991, where they obtained their GCSE's & A-Levels. Ian then pursued higher education at Coventry University from 1991 to 1994, earning a degree in Maths with a 2.1 classification. Later, from 1997 to 1999, Ian attended the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, where they obtained the ACMA designation.
