Connie Larsson

Connie Larsson has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. Connie began as a Summer Research Student at the University of Houston-Downtown in 2005 and 2007, and at Sam Houston State University in 2007. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Chemistry & Physics Teacher at North Shore Senior High School. From 2010 to 2017, they were a Ph.D. Candidate and Graduate Research Assistant at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where they identified pathways underlying response to p53 restoration therapy and drug combinations, interrogated whether p53 mutations impacts response to chemotherapy in urothelial carcinomas, and evaluated the efficacy of Brd4 inhibition as a novel therapeutic approach for the treatment of aggressive B-CLL. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at AstraZeneca. Most recently, they have been a Principal Scientist at MarvelBiome since 2019, and is currently the Director of Contract Research Operations at Avastus Preclinical Services LLC.

Connie Larsson obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cancer Genetics from UT MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences between 2010 and 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology Major and Chemistry Minor from the University of Houston-Downtown between 2006 and 2008.
