Dustin Lake has a diverse work experience spanning a range of industries and roles. Dustin started their career in 2002 as an Application Programmer/Account Manager at Database Systems Corp., where they programmed IVR and emergency notification systems. Dustin then moved on to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), where they worked as a Systems Engineer, providing network and system engineering services for the Military Entrance Processing Command (MEPCOM).
In 2005, Lake joined the Army's Continental United States - Theater Network Operations and Security Center (CONUS-TNOSC) as a Defense Contractor - Lead Application System Analyst. Dustin managed Active Directory domain assets and implemented PKI and Smart Card technologies for domain authentication and email encryption.
Lake then worked at Got Web Pages Inc. as an IT Consultant, managing technology consulting and system administration services for small businesses and medical practices. Dustin also performed technology assessments and audits.
At NetCentrics, Lake served as a Senior Systems Engineer - Army (ESTA OED), where they engineered the deployment of Network Intrusion Prevention Systems (NIPS) and developed plans for DIACAP certification. Dustin also conducted system design and integration reviews with product vendors.
From 2008 to 2009, Lake worked at Lockheed Martin Space Systems as a Senior Computer Systems Analyst. Dustin designed and deployed VMware virtual server infrastructure and built Citrix, SQL, and IIS servers for an extranet Integrated Digital Environment (IDE).
Lake joined Aventura Software in 2009 and held various roles, including Senior Solutions Engineer, Lead Developer - Application Team, Director of Integration, and Lead Sales Engineer. In these roles, they deployed enterprise virtualization and multi-factor authentication technologies, led an agile team of developers, and nurtured strategic relationships with EMR and clinical application vendors.
At Voalte, Lake served as a Solution Architect, and at Baxter International Inc., they were a Senior Manager, Clinical Solution Architects. In both positions, they used their expertise to provide technical solutions and enhance API capabilities.
Currently, Lake is a Technical Sales Engineer at AvaSure, where they leverage their technical knowledge to drive sales and support customer needs.
Dustin Lake's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems (BS/CIS) from DeVry University, which they obtained between 1999 and 2002. Dustin then pursued a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Technology Management (MBA/TM) from the University of Phoenix from 2003 to 2006.
In addition to their formal education, Dustin Lake has obtained several certifications. In 2007, they obtained the Information Assurance Security Phase 2 Certified certification from the Department of Defense (DoD) - Information Assurance Awareness. In 2008, they acquired the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, as well as the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from Cisco.
Dustin Lake's additional certifications also include the Citrix Certified Sales Professional (CCSP) certification from Citrix, which they obtained in 2015, and the PMC Level I certification from the Pragmatic Institute in January 2022.
