Scott Toppel

Scott Toppel has over 30 years of professional experience. Scott began their career in 1989 as a Computer Programmer at IBM, where they designed a computer program to transfer thermal analysis experimental data to IBM's internal computer network. In 1990, they worked as a Training Assistant at Synopsys, where they developed an arithmetic data path and a user survey for the training curriculum. From 1991 to 2013, Scott served in the US Navy in various roles, including Naval Aviator, Joint Strike Fighter Class Desk, Director of Operations, Air Wing and Ship Integration IPT Lead, Strike Fighter and Mission Planning Requirements Officer, Department Head, and Current Operations & Air-to-Air Training Officer. In 2013, they joined ADS Inc. as a Navy Programs Specialist, and in 2014, they became President of Avatar Partners, where they provided Software, Logistics, Hardware and Training solutions for Government and Commercial Fortune 1000 customers.

Scott Toppel completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of California, Davis from 1986 to 1991. Scott then obtained their US Navy Test Pilot certification from the Empire Test Pilot School in December 1998. In 2000, they completed their Master of Science (MS) in Aviation Systems at the University of Tennessee Space Institute, which they completed in 2004.
