Douglas Fischer

Douglas Fischer has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Douglas currently holds the role of General Counsel at Advanced Vapor Devices (AVD) since March 2023. Prior to this, they were a Strategic Advisor at Magical Brands (MagicalButter) starting from December 2022. In 2022, they also served as General Counsel at Ascend Wellness Holdings from June to November.

From 2018 to 2022, Douglas worked as the General Counsel at Greenlane Holdings, Inc., a global platform for cannabis accessories and lifestyle products. Before that, they were the Chief Legal Officer at the National Association of Cannabis Businesses from June 2017 to July 2018.

Douglas brings a strong legal background from their time as an Associate at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP from September 2008 to June 2017. Douglas also has experience as a Rule 16 Prosecutor at the Maryland Office of the State's Attorney - Anne Arundel County in 2007.

Douglas started their career as an LSAT Instructor at Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions in 2005. Douglas also served as a Dean's Fellow at the American University Washington College of Law from 2006 to 2007.

Douglas Fischer obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from The George Washington University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Later, they attended the American University Washington College of Law from 2005 to 2008, and successfully completed their Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a concentration in Law.
