Jim Barbour

Jim Barbour has over 30 years of work experience in the aviation industry. Jim began their career in 1991 as a Certified Flight Instructor at JCR Aviation. In 1995, they joined ExpressJet Airlines where they held multiple roles, including Director of Flight Operations Training, Manager - Flight Standards, Manager - Training Development, ATR Program Manager, Instructor Pilot/Check Airman, Captain, and First Officer. Most recently, they joined Avelo Airlines in 2021 as Director - Flight Standards and Training.

Jim Barbour obtained a Bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University between 1987 and 1989. Jim also attended St. Olaf College between 1985 and 1987. In addition, they have obtained an EMB-145 Type Rating from the Federal Aviation Administration in September 2020 and holds certifications for ATR 42/ATR 72 Type Rating, Airline Transport Pilot, CL-65 Type Rating, and EMB-120 Type Rating from the Federal Aviation Administration.
