Shyam Natarajan

Founder & CEO at Avenda Health

Shyam Natarajan is the Founder and CEO of Avenda Health. Prior to starting Avenda Health, Shyam worked as a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Surgery at UCLA, where they worked with Dr. Erik Dutson on improving minimally-invasive surgical interventions. Shyam also served as the Program Manager for the UCLA Business of Science Center, where they were responsible for creating and sustaining initiatives which engage and inspire students to pursue non-academic careers. Shyam has also been involved in founding and directing UCLA Innovation Week and the Inventathon, a 24-hour healthcare competition.

Shyam Natarajan received their PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to that, they completed their MS in Biomedical Engineering at UCLA and their BS in Computer Engineering and Japanese from UC Santa Barbara. Shyam also participated in the Junior Year Program in Engineering (JYPE) at Tohoku University.
