Lauren Jansen

Lauren Jansen, Ph.D. has a wealth of experience in the field of biotechnology. Lauren began their career in 2009 as a College of Engineering Student Ambassador and Johnson Summer Research Fellow at Oregon State University. In 2012, they began their Doctoral Student role at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After graduating, they worked as a Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at Covaris from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, they joined Sigilon Therapeutics, Inc. as an Associate Director of Preclinical Operations, Senior Manager of Biomaterials, Manager of Biomaterials, and Scientist of Biomaterials. Most recently, they were appointed Director of Process Development at Avenge Bio in 2022.

Lauren Jansen, Ph.D. began their educational journey in 2008 when they enrolled at Oregon State University and obtained a BS in Chemical Engineering in 2012. Lauren then continued their studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering in 2017.
