Charlene'sresponsibilities included quality improvement, disease management, care coordination, and health education, among others.

Before that, they worked as the Assistant Medical Director of HIV Prevention Services at Harris Health System from 2017 to 2018. In this role, they developed clinical protocols and quality metrics for HIV prevention and ensured quality outcomes.

From 2013 to 2018, Dr. Flash was the Medical Director of the HIV Prevention Program at Thomas Street Health Center. Charlene developed and implemented comprehensive HIV prevention programs for high-risk populations, and their expertise was widely recognized and sought after nationally for training and implementation efforts.

Dr. Flash completed their Infectious Disease Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School from 2010 to 2012. Charlene also has experience as a Medicine-Pediatrics Resident at Brown University from 2006 to 2010.
