Zachary Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Zachary started their career at Modis as a Service Desk Agent for a brief period. Zachary then joined SAIC as a Technical Support I, where they resolved technical computer issues for an energy company and managed user accounts and security groups. Zachary then moved to IBM as a System Service Representative, where they provided repairs, maintenance, and upgrades for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Summit supercomputer. Zachary also troubleshooted various computer systems and network infrastructure for retail and office locations. Currently, Zachary works at Avertium as a Cybersecurity Analyst, where they analyze cyber security events, investigates suspect behavior, and authors detailed reports. Zachary also collaborates with a security engineering team to improve monitoring efficiency. Throughout their roles, Zachary has demonstrated technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to challenges.

Zachary Nelson completed their Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Information Technology/Cyber Defense at Pellissippi State Community College from 2014 to 2024. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications in the field of cybersecurity. These include the LogRhythm Security Analyst (LRSA) certification from LogRhythm in September 2021, the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification from CompTIA in November 2022, the CompTIA A+ ce certification from CompTIA in April 2016, and the CompTIA Security+ ce certification from CompTIA in February 2018. Zachary also completed the Intelligence Investigations: People Course Completion (8-hour version) from The OSINTion in November 2021.
