Yogesh Awasthi

Dr. Awasthi is a biochemist with over 50 years of experience and a is a leader in the research of Glutathione S-Transferase (GST). Dr. Awasthi is a well-known international lecturer on GST and was previously a professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) and the City of Hope.

​He published over 330 peer-reviewed papers (cited >13,500 times). He was the author and editor of the book, Toxicology of Glutathione Transferase. He is responsible for the pivotal structure and function studies of GST that led to the classification and characterization of their substrate specificities.
