George Svokos has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. George is currently the President & CEO of Avet Pharmaceuticals since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant for Pharmaceuticals starting from August 2018. Before that, they held various roles at AMRI (Albany Molecular Research Inc.), including Chief Commercial Officer from October 2017 to July 2018, and Chief Operating Officer & Chief Commercial Officer from January 2014 to July 2018. George also had a long tenure at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where they served as Senior Vice President -- Product & Portfolio Management and Executive Vice President from May 1979 to January 2014. Additionally, they were the Executive Vice President -- Commercial Operations from January 2006 to December 2011.
George Svokos obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University. George attended Columbia University from 1976 to 1980. Later, from 1990 to 1995, George pursued an MBA, specializing in Finance/Marketing, at the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business. In addition, they also studied at Columbia Engineering from 1977 to 1980, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (bs) degree in Chemical Engineering. Furthermore, George Svokos pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management from the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business from 1991 to 1995.
