Avgoulea-Linardatou School has been playing a leading role in the field of quality education in Athens and West Attica for more than half a century. It is the oldest school in this area and has the largest number of students. It also has a large number of graduates who have come from different University departments within the country and also abroad. The school provides for its students needs in the best possible way. Amongst other things, it makes use of state-of-the-art technological resources which help to evaluate and properly deal with these needs. On the premises of the school there are 1,300 students and about 290 members of administrative and teaching staff. The activities of the school cover areas which are not only related to education in the strictest sense, but also related to arts, sports and culture in general. 
The school’s excellent facilities stretch across over 6,000 m2, with two building complexes housing 87 pre-school, primary and secondary school classrooms plus science laboratories and ICT suites, a library, cultural facilities and an athletic centre. An ambitious modernisation programme carried out over the last fifteen years finds the school today not only recognised as one of the most technically advanced and innovative schools in Greece but also included in the Microsoft Showcase Schools, which features the 600 most advanced schools in the world.
