Emily Marga van der Merwe

Emily Marga van der Merwe has extensive experience in operations, client experience, and customer service. Currently, Emily serves as Operations Coordinator at Aviair Pty Ltd since August 2023, previously holding the position of Operations and Client Experience Officer. Prior to this, Emily worked at Flight Centre Travel Group South Africa from March 2018 to June 2023, where roles included Legal and Compliance Coordinator, Customer Experience Expert, and Team Leader positions. Earlier experience includes roles at Flight Centre from July 2015 to May 2022 as a Customer Care Consultant, and at Lemon Fresh Publishing as Managing Editor, Journalist, and Blogger in early 2015. Emily began a career in the airline industry as Cabin Crew with Emirates from March 2012 to April 2014. Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies with a Psychology Major from North-West University, obtained between 2009 and 2011.
