Tobias Walters

Tobias Walters is an experienced professional in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) development and operational support, currently serving as a UAS and Counter-UAS Developmental Flight Test Engineer at AVIAN LLC since June 2016. With a diverse background that includes roles as a Commander in the US Navy Reserve and a UAS Project Manager for Naval Special Warfare, Tobias has extensive expertise in project management, systems engineering, and strategic planning. Previous experience includes positions at CYPHY Works and the US Navy, where responsibilities encompassed operational test direction, leadership in complex missions, and pilot training in helicopter operations. Tobias holds a Master of Science in Systems Design and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, complemented by comprehensive military training and a Bachelor's in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy.
