Mary Newby

As a Data Analyst at Avicado, Mary currently spends her time working alongside the Data Center Design team at Meta. Mary’s data engineering role involves creating and maintaining dashboards that monitor the design and construction phases of Meta’s data centers, ensuring they progress efficiently and on schedule.

Before joining Avicado, Mary worked as a design and business IT analyst at Harley-Davidson Motor Company and Kohl’s, designing and prototyping ERP functionality for complex business requirements, performing quality assurance reviews of process designs and system specifications, modeling business requirements in accordance with standard IT department techniques and more. In 2021, Mary was named one of Milwaukee Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.

Mary earned her master’s degree in Business Analytics from the University of Notre Dame and her bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Marquette University. Currently based in Wisconsin, she considers herself a “major cat lady” and enjoys reading, gaming and exploring her hometown of Milwaukee in her free time. Fun fact: Mary’s two sisters also work at Avicado!
