Dr. Salek is a Senior Managing Director at Cerberus Capital Management’s and its stage-agnostic venture capital platform focused on investments in deep technology companies.
Prior to joining Cerberus in 2022, Dr. Salek was the founder and the Head of Custom Silicon for Google Technical Infrastructure and Google Cloud businesses. He started and led multiple lines of products that today are part of the de facto infrastructure behind Google services; among those are the original TPU (Google’s first production chip), TPU-v2 (the industry’s first custom deep-learning training chip in production), TPU-v3, TPU-v4, Edge-TPU, VCU, OpenTitan, and IPU. Over the past two decades, Dr. Salek has led the development of products for a wide range of markets such as machine learning, networking, graphics, video, and mobile processors. Prior to Google, Dr. Salek was a Senior Director of Engineering at Nvidia, where he was the founder and the Head of Nvidia’s System-on-a-Chip Design organization.
Dr. Salek holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
