Néstor Nápoles López

Néstor Nápoles López is a Senior Software Developer and AI Researcher at Avid, focusing on Music Information Retrieval (MIR) for the Sibelius team since August 2022. Prior to this role, Néstor served as a PhD Research Assistant and Course Co-Lecturer at McGill University from September 2017 to August 2022, where responsibilities included teaching the course "MUMT 301: Music and the Internet." Additional experience includes positions as a MITACS Research Intern at Avid, a MSc Research Assistant at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, a Graphics Software Security Engineer at Intel Corporation, and a C++ Software Developer and Software Validation Engineer at CINVESTAV.
