Mike Dinicola

Mike DiNicola has a diverse work experience spanning multiple positions and industries. In their current role as the Director of Partner Engagement at AVID Center, they lead and develops a team to achieve new K-12 site growth goals and objectives. Prior to this, Mike worked as a Partner Engagement Manager at AVID Center, where they sold the AVID College & Career Readiness System to large K-12 school districts and developed strong relationships with district leadership. Mike was also the Chief Training Officer at Future Ready Now, LLC., providing workshops and consulting services to educators. Additionally, Mike has held roles such as Human Services Track Advisor at Sora Schools, District Manager at ACT, Director of Pupil Services at Berkeley County School District, Guidance Counselor at Horry County School District, Career Counselor at Charleston County School District, and College Counselor at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School.

Mike DiNicola has a strong educational background in the field of counseling and psychology. Mike obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Ohio University, where they studied from 1997 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Master's of Science degree in School Psychology from Miami University, completing their studies in 1997. Mike also holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Xavier University, which they obtained in 1996.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Mike has pursued additional certifications to enhance their skills. Mike obtained certifications in AVID Discover: Digital Teaching and Learning and AVID DigitalXP: Leadership from the AVID Center in August and June 2020 respectively. In March 2020, they completed certifications in Executive Presence on Video Conference Calls and Leading Virtual Meetings from LinkedIn. Mike has also earned a Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certification, although the institution from which they obtained it is not specified.
