Marie Demselius

Marie Demselius has a strong background in compliance and credit management. Marie is currently the Chief Compliance Officer at Avida Finans AB, a position they started in October 2021. Prior to this, they were the Head of Compliance at Bambora AB / WorldLine Sweden AB from March 2019 to September 2021.

Before joining Bambora, Marie worked at Danske Bank where they held various roles including Head of Credit and Compliance at Danske Finans from September 2017 to February 2019, and Head of Credit at Danske Finans from May 2016 to September 2017.

Marie's earlier experience includes serving as the Chief Credit Officer at Intrum from April 2012 to May 2016, and holding multiple positions at Swedbank from 1989 to 2012, including Head of Risk Control / Retail, Risk and Compliance Officer, Branch Manager in Stockholm, Chief Credit Officer, Business Controller, and Legal Counsel.

Marie Demselius holds a Master of Law degree from Lund University, which they obtained between the years 1984 and 1989. Their studies at Lund University focused on Legal, Business Administration, and English. Prior to that, Marie attended Polhemsskolan where they completed a 3-year social science program, known as "Gymnasieskola," for which specific start and end years are not provided.
