James Sornson

James Sornson has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as Senior Vice President of Fund Finance at Avidbank since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Pacific Western Bank from 2015 to 2022, initially as Vice President of Fund Finance. During their time at Pacific Western Bank, they focused on fund lending and was involved in the acquisition of Square 1 Bank in 2015.

Before joining Pacific Western Bank, James served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant from 2010 to 2016. James then worked at Fidelity Investments as a Workplace Planning & Guidance Consultant from 2014 to 2015, where they assisted clients with their 401k benefits and held Series 7 and Series 66 certifications.

James Sornson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from North Carolina State University in 2014.
