Chris L. Pederson

Chris Pederson serves as the President of Specialty Engineered Materials at Avient Corporation, leading a $1.2 billion global business segment since November 2018. Previously, Chris held the position of Vice President of Strategy at Hexcel Corporation, overseeing corporate business development and strategic planning. Chris spent 15 years at Cytec Solvay Group, where roles included Vice President of Aerospace, leading a $1 billion aerospace materials division, and Vice President of Research and Development, guiding global R&D efforts. Earlier in the career, Chris was a Senior Engineer at Boeing. Chris holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington.
