Jan Sueltemeyer

Jan Sueltemeyer is a seasoned professional in sustainability and innovation with extensive experience in the chemical and materials industries. Currently, Jan serves as the Global Sustainability Leader at Avient Corporation and co-chairs the Design for Circularity Technical Expert Group at the Alliance to End Plastic Waste. Jan is also a board member of the Responsible Mica Initiative. Prior roles include Global Head of Innovation and Sustainability at Clariant and Senior Manager of Global Marketing & Market Development at BASF, where Jan managed marketing for functional colorants in the electronic sector and led key innovation projects. Jan began their career at Ciba, overseeing the innovation strategy and technical service for the Electronic Materials business line. Jan earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bonn, Germany.
