Kristof Lemmens has a diverse work experience spanning from 2005 to present. Kristof started their career as a Call Center Operator at IP Globalnet in 2005, followed by an Administrative Assistant role at HVW from 2006 to 2008. Kristof then worked as an ICT Support Assistant at INBO (Research Institute for Nature and Forest) from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016, they served as a Technical Designer at Cegeka, contributing to the development of a Java application. In 2016, they transitioned to FIS as a Java Software Engineer and later joined Cegeka again in 2017 as a Site Reliability Engineer at Groeipakket. Kristof ventured into new opportunities in 2020 by taking up the role of a Site Reliability Engineer at Sparkcentral, a global SaaS Digital Customer Service platform, and then as a Senior Devops Engineer at Hootsuite starting from January 2021. Currently, they are the Owner of KL Consultancy and will be joining AVIOBOOK as a DevOps Engineer in September 2022. Kristof's expertise lies in technologies such as AWS (VPC, EC2, IAM, Route53, RDS, KMS, EKS, ECR, and more) and they have experience in roles related to site reliability engineering and software development.
Kristof Lemmens completed their secondary education at Ursula-instituut from 1992 to 1999, where they studied Latin, Math, and Science. Kristof then pursued a degree in Computer Science at Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen, graduating in 2001. Kristof later attended VDAB in 2001 and 2002 to develop their skills as a web developer. In 2007, they enrolled at Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven, where they graduated with a degree in Computer Science in 2010. In addition to their formal education, Kristof obtained a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in November 2012.
