Sebastiaan Indesteege

Sebastiaan Indesteege has extensive work experience in the field of software development and research. Sebastiaan is currently employed as a Senior Developer at AVIOBOOK, a position they began in February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Google as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2014 to June 2021, and as a Software Engineer from July 2011 to June 2014. Sebastiaan also worked at COSIC, K.U.Leuven as a Postdoctoral researcher from May 2010 to June 2011, and as a Researcher (PhD student) from October 2006 to May 2010. Sebastiaan was a Visiting Researcher at Krypto group, IAIK, TU Graz in March 2011. Sebastiaan was also an Aspirant at Fonds voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek Vlaanderen (FWO-Vlaanderen) from October 2006 to September 2010, and a Research intern at Sony in June 2009. Additionally, they served as the Chairman of ULYSSIS, a volunteer student organization at KU Leuven, from September 2006 to September 2009. Sebastiaan Indesteege also worked as a Visiting Researcher at Krypto group, IAIK, TU Graz in March 2008, and as a Software developer at Eurotwice in July 2005.

Sebastiaan Indesteege completed their education in two stages. From 2001 to 2006, they attended KU Leuven and earned a Master of Science in Engineering. Their field of study during this period was Electrotechnical Engineering, with a specialization in Telecommunications. Following this, Sebastiaan Indesteege pursued further academic excellence and from 2006 to 2010, they enrolled at KU Leuven once again. During this time, they successfully obtained their PhD in Engineering.
