David Schafer

David Schafer, MBA, serves as the Senior Project Manager for Innovation and Clean Energy Strategy at Avista since March 2015, overseeing key projects such as the Boulder Park Expansion. Prior roles include Senior Program Manager, where achievements include the development of innovative utility products, and Co-founder and VP of Product & Innovation at Avista Edge, focusing on high-speed internet solutions in rural communities. Schafer's experience also includes managing a $6.8 million budget for energy efficiency programs at Avista, leading project implementations at Ecova, and operating as a Corporate Pilot.
