Joost Van Mill

Joost Van Mill has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Joost started their career as an Army Officer in the Reconnaissance platoon, where they gained valuable leadership and logistical skills. Following their military service, they worked as a Consultant at AP Support, specializing in financial services and gaining experience in insurance and pensions.

Joost then became self-employed and founded their own consulting company, Van Mill, Management in Project & Line. During this time, they focused on the banking sector, insurances, and pensions, taking on roles such as project manager and logistics manager. One of their notable projects involved overseeing the transfer of physical and digital archives for 4 Pension Funds to new administrators while working with Syntrus Achmea.

Joost then joined Altran / DCE Consultants as a Senior Consultant, Project Manager, Trainer, and People Manager. In this role, they assisted clients in defining and implementing their business strategies, managing change processes, and establishing effective business operations. Joost also played a key role as a work package leader in the European Commission's 7th Framework Programme, POP-ALERT.

Afterwards, they worked at MS Amlin as a Business Change - Project Manager, where they facilitated the integration of RaetsMarine departments into the Amlin organization. Joost focused on embedding changes in reporting lines from RaetsMarine to Amlin and ensuring a smooth transition.

Their next position was at Five Degrees, a financial technology provider, where they served as a Project & Delivery Manager. Joost was responsible for implementing software solutions at new clients, both on-premise and in the cloud, and maintaining client relationships and existing software systems.

Before joining their current position, Joost worked at Novisource N.V. - Bron van Excellente Mensen as a Business & IT Consultant, Project Manager, and Change Manager. Joost primarily focused on projects and changes in legislation, digital transformations, data management, and application integration. Joost held the role of IT Delivery Manager at RNHB, overseeing IT delivery, development teams, system and network administrators, and IT vendors.

Currently, Joost Van Mill serves as the Team Lead of Project Management at Avit Group, a network integrator and managed service provider. Joost leads the Avit Project Management team, consisting of project managers and project coordinators, and ensures the successful delivery of projects and optimal network performance for clients.

Joost Van Mill attended Nyenrode Business University in 2009, where they studied Operations Management for a brief period. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1998, they attended the Royal Military Academy, focusing on Military and Strategic Leadership.
