Joshua Bell

Josh Bell is an experienced professional in peer support and mental health recovery, currently serving as a Forensic Peer Mentor at Avita Community Partners since December 2019. With a background that includes roles as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist at MAP Health Management and a Community Navigation Specialist at Gateway Behavioral Health Services, Bell has developed expertise in providing support to individuals with mental illnesses and substance abuse issues. Josh Bell has facilitated support groups and operated a peer support warm-line at the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network and has served as a Recovery Education Mentor for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Education includes certifications in Peer Support and Recovery through the Georgia CPS Project and ongoing studies at the Georgia Council on Substance-Abuse CARES Academy.
