Chief People Officer at Aviva

Danielle Harmer is the current Chief People Officer at Aviva. Prior to this, they served as the Chair and Trustee of Charitable Trust at the Guild of HR Professionals from January 2016 to December 2019. Danielle was also the Chief People Officer at Metro Bank (UK) from May 2012 to February 2020. Before that, they were the HR Director RBB Functions at Barclays Bank from October 2010 to May 2012. Prior to that, they served as the HR Director Lloyds TSB, Bank of Scotland & Halifax Community Banks at Lloyds Banking Group from January 2009 to October 2010. Danielle also served as the Regional Director at Halifax from May 1992 to January 2009. Her first managerial position was at London & International Mercantile Ltd from January 1989 to December 1992.

Danielle Harmer attended the University of Southampton, where they earned a BSc Hons in Economics and Business Economics. Danielle also attended St Paul's Girls' School in London. Danielle is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD).
