Mike O'Neill

Mike O'Neill is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel for the UK General Insurance legal team at Aviva since July 2018, providing legal and regulatory support across a diverse range of insurance products. Prior to this, Mike held the position of Senior Legal Counsel at Bupa, focusing on regulatory issues within the insurance distribution legal team. Mike's legal career began at DLA Piper as an Associate, followed by roles at Pinsent Masons and as a seconded Solicitor at Goldman Sachs. Additionally, Mike has a background in academia, having taught pharmaceutics at Aston University and the University of Bath, and contributed to research at the University of London. Mike's academic credentials include a PhD in Chemistry and multiple law degrees, including a Legal Practice Course from the College of Law.
