Michael Hewitt

Michael Hewitt's work experience includes various roles at AVIXA, starting with their position as LCMS Administrator in March 2012. In this role, they implemented, integrated, and maintained InfoComm's Learning Management Suite and InfoComm University. Michael also created technical support best practices, solved systems issues, and collaborated with partners and technical teams on configuration and customization. Michael later served as the Director of Knowledge Management from March 2015 to January 2018, Director of Learning Systems from January 2018 to January 2020, and currently holds the position of Senior Director of IT Systems. Prior to their time at AVIXA, they worked as an Educator at Prince George's County Public Schools from August 2007 to March 2012.

Michael Hewitt graduated from Penn State University with a B.A. of Science in Education. Michael attended the university from 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued further education in Educational Technology at Penn State University, although the exact duration of this program is not provided. In terms of additional certifications, Michael obtained the Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) certification from Salesforce in September 2023. Michael also holds the Certified Practitioner of Human-Centered Design certification from LUMA Institute, obtained in March 2019. Furthermore, Michael obtained the AVIXA-Recognized AV Technologist Test certification from AVIXA in April 2018, and the Mounting Equipment certification from the same institution in October 2017. In March 2016, they acquired the Management Skills for New Managers certification from the American Management Association.
