Stefan Schmid has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Stefan is currently serving as the Managing Director at AVL Software and Functions GmbH since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the positions of Head of Hybrid & BEV Powertrain Controls from November 2019 to March 2022, and Head of Human Resources & Customer Segment from October 2008 to March 2022 at the same company.
Stefan also worked at Continental as the Head of Engine Management Systems Development - Customers Asia from April 2008 to September 2008, and at Siemens in different roles. At Siemens, they served as the Head of Customer Segment from April 2004 to March 2008, Sales Manager from August 1999 to March 2004, Project Manager from March 1998 to July 1999, and as an Entwicklungsingenieur from August 1995 to March 1998.
From 1988 to 1994, Stefan Schmid attended the Technical University of Munich where they pursued a degree in Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering) and successfully obtained a Diplom-Ingenieur.
