Matthew Rooney

Matthew Rooney is an experienced finance professional currently serving as a Director at KKR & Co. Inc. since July 2022. Previously, Matthew held the position of Head of Bank & Insurance Distribution at Pendal Group from February 2015 until its acquisition by Perpetual Limited in January 2023, and at BT Investment Management from February 2015 to April 2018. Matthew's career began at Fidelity Investments as an Investment Associate from 2007 to 2012, after working as a Business Development Associate at Fidelity International in 2007. Matthew also gained experience as a Business Development Officer at ING Australia from 2005 to 2007 and served as an Emerging Markets Debt Portfolio Specialist at Lazard Asset Management from January 2012 to December 2014. Matthew Rooney holds a Masters of Commerce in Business from Macquarie University, has completed Harvard University’s Graduate Studies in International Business, and possesses several prestigious qualifications including Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Certified Investment Management Analyst, and passed Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
