Rui Caldeira has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Rui began their career in 2006 as a Marketing Coordinator at Local BEST Group Porto. Rui later worked as a Technical Assistant at FEUP Centro de Eventos from 2007 to 2009. In 2009, they took on roles as the HR Responsible of the Marketing Committee and Coordinator of a Summer Course's academic program on Energy Efficiency & Sustainability at BEST.

From 2010 to 2011, Rui worked as an Electrotechnical Engineer at LSTS - Underwater Systems and Technology Laboratory, where they focused on R&D of embedded systems for UAVs.

In 2011, they joined Vodafone as a Senior Telecommunications Engineer, responsible for operations, maintenance, and support of the Core Network nodes and services as well as project management for network modernization and expansion. Rui also played a role in network monitoring and high availability standards development and documentation. During their time at Vodafone, they had extensive interaction with key hardware and service providers.

Rui then transitioned to a role as an Electrical Construction Engineer, working primarily as a Telecom and Electrical Design Engineer from 2015 to 2021.

In 2019, they joined Avlino as a Business Analyst and Project Lead in the Telecom industry. Currently, they hold the position of Project Manager and Production Support Coordinator in the Maritime Container Terminal Industry at Avlino.

Throughout their career, Rui has demonstrated expertise in project management, coordination, and technical roles within the telecommunications, construction, and maritime industries.

Rui Caldeira completed their education in the field of Electrotechnical and Computers Engineering. From 2002 to 2006, they attended Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, where they pursued their undergraduate degree in Electrotechnical and Computers Engineering. Subsequently, from 2006 to 2009, they enrolled at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where they obtained their Master's degree in Electrotechnical and Computers Engineering, specializing in Telecommunications, Signal, Sound, and Image Processing.
