Butch Giessman

Chairman of the Board & CEO at AVMATS Jet Support

Butch Giessman has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. From 1971 to 1972, they worked as an A & P Technician at Rockwell International-STL, where they performed routine inspections and repairs on various aircraft. In 1982, they joined AVMATS, where they held multiple roles. Butch served as President from 1982 to 2011, overseeing the daily operations of all divisions and subsidiary companies. Butch then became the Chairman of the Board & CEO in 2011, responsible for overseeing all divisions, developing future programs and projects, and retaining the culture of the company. Throughout their career, Butch Giessman focused on ensuring that the company was run by technicians rather than accountants.

Butch Giessman attended Mercy High School STL from 1964 to 1967. During this time, they did not receive a degree or study a specific field. From 1967 to 1971, they attended Parks College of St. Louis University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Maintenance Engineering.
