Art Leitherer

Art Leitherer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology and engineering, currently serving as the Vice President of Global Technology and Solutions at Avnet since November 2001. In this role, Art is responsible for the development and management of Avnet's digital design tools, including the AVAIL tool, and has created a sponsorship program to fund and expand these resources. Art’s previous roles at Avnet include Vice President of System Level Engineering, where roadmaps for demand creation tools were developed, and Director of Technology Solutions, overseeing international teams for design and analytic tool support. Earlier work includes significant engineering positions at Kentrox, ADC, Seiko Communications, and the Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center, specializing in PCB design, hardware development, and SCADA systems. Art holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
