Grady Zhu

Grady Zhu has a diverse work experience beginning in 2013. Grady started as a Motion Graphics Designer at Pixel Film Studios, where they were promoted to Product Manager. In 2019, they began working for App Academy as a Technical Instructor, and for Avochato as a Software Engineer and then a Senior Software Engineer. At Avochato, they provided solutions for sales and support teams and was responsible for architecting end-to-end features with Rails, React, Redux, and PostgreSQL while practicing TDD. Grady also owned the transition of Avochato's pricing model twice. At Pixel Film Studios, they managed a team of 15 artists and devs in the creation of 1000+ tools from inception to launch.

Grady Zhu received a BA in Economics & Sociology (Double Major) from UC Irvine and completed a Full Stack Web Development program at App Academy.
