Rui Martins

Vice President Technical - New Aircraft at Avolon

Rui Martins has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Rui joined Avolon in 2019 as Vice President Technical - New Aircraft. Prior to that, they worked at TAP Portugal where they held the positions of Fleet Manager from 2017 to 2019 and Fleet / Maintenance Program Engineer from 2013 to 2017. Rui started their career at GMV as an Engineering Intern in 2013.

Rui Martins began their education in 2006 at Instituto Superior Técnico, where they pursued a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering. Rui completed this program in 2013. In 2009, Rui Martins furthered their studies by attending Delft University of Technology, where they also obtained a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering. Rui completed this program in 2010. Most recently, in 2020, Rui Martins enrolled at the Law Society of Ireland to pursue a Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance, with a focus on Aircraft Leasing. The end year for this program is not provided, implying that Rui Martins is still in the midst of completing it.
