Richard Kunkle has extensive work experience in various financial roles. Richard started their career as a Vice President of Financial Reporting at Riggs Bank in 1984 and held this position until 1996. In 1996, they joined Avolta as the Vice President and Corporate Controller for North America. Richard is currently in this role, responsible for overseeing financial operations within the company. In 2015, Kunkle became the Foundation Controller for HMSHost Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on fighting poverty. In this role, they created accounting books, prepared financial statements, and managed annual audits and tax filings. Additionally, Kunkle is also serving as the Director and Treasurer of the Quarry Springs Homeowners Association, where they were elected to the inaugural Board of Directors in 2023.

Richard Kunkle completed their high school education at Mount Vernon High School from 1976 to 1980, earning a High School Diploma. Richard then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from William & Mary, graduating in 1984. Richard went on to obtain professional certifications, including becoming a Certified Internal Auditor through the Institute of Internal Auditors and a Certified Public Accountant through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
