Nicole V.

Nicole V. is an experienced mental health and well-being professional currently serving as a Mental Health & Well-Being Counsellor with the Avon Maitland District School Board since September 2019. Nicole has a strong background in supporting youth and families, having previously worked as a Family Support Worker at VON Canada, where support was provided to youth with developmental disabilities. Additionally, Nicole has experience in clinical settings, including a student placement at the Paediatric Diabetes Unit of London Health Sciences Centre, where assessments and emotional support were delivered to children and families. Nicole's research experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at King's University College, focusing on literature summaries and qualitative analysis in social services. With prior positions in supportive housing and justice work, Nicole holds a Master of Social Work from King's University College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western University.
