John Maten

John Maten is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Currently serving as the Owner of Hydra Transmission Consulting LLC and the Chief Technical Officer at Avotronics Powertrain, Maten brings a wealth of expertise from a long career at General Motors, where Maten held various positions including Assistant Chief Engineer for Continuously Variable Transmissions and Engineering Group Manager in Advanced Transmissions. Maten holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University.
