Moutushi Sengupta

Moutushi Sengupta has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the development sector. Moutushi currently serves as the Chief of Capital Mobilisation at AVPN, where they are responsible for driving capital towards impact in the South Asia region. Prior to this, Moutushi worked as the Regional Director, Asia at Co-Impact, where they played a key role in strategic positioning, establishing partnerships, and monitoring high-impact grants. Moutushi also served as the Director, India at the MacArthur Foundation, leading the Foundation's work in the country and overseeing grant making focused on climate change mitigation. Before that, Moutushi was the Director - Programmes and Advocacy at Oxfam India, where they developed and executed a multi-sectoral program and advocacy strategy. Moutushi started their career at the Department for International Development, where they held positions as Corporate Services Manager and Programme Manager, managing HR, facilities, and implementing program strategies. Moutushi began their professional journey as a Deputy Finance Manager at DCM Ltd.

Moutushi Sengupta completed their education in a chronological order as follows:

- From 1986 to 1988, they attended Panjab University and obtained an MBA with a specialization in Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources. Moutushi was awarded a gold medal for their achievement.

- Starting in 1997 and finishing in 2002, Moutushi attended the University of London where they pursued an MSc in Applied Environmental Economics. During their studies, they focused on water resource management, environmental law, and natural resource economics.

- In 2008 and 2009, they enrolled at the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and received a postgraduate certificate. Moutushi'sstudies in People Resourcing, Learning, and Development were completed during this period.

Additionally, Moutushi obtained several certifications:

- In July 2015, they became a Certified Leadership Coach from the International Coaching Federation.

- Furthermore, Moutushi received the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) designation twice from the International Coaching Federation, in February 2020.
