Steven Kirkland

Steven Kirkland has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Steven is currently the Vice President of Operations Excellence at Voyant Beauty, a leading manufacturer of personal care and beauty products. Previously, they served as the General Manager at the same company. Before joining Voyant Beauty, Steven was the Senior Director of Specialty Operations at Novelis, where they oversaw multiple production facilities and was responsible for safety, customer centricity, quality, operational excellence, and ROCE. Prior to that, they held several director-level positions at Aleris, a global leader in aluminum rolled products. In these roles, they managed supply chain, coated operations, Ashville operations, operational excellence, marketing and strategy, and inside sales operations. Earlier in their career, Steven worked for Commonwealth Aluminum Corporation, where they held roles in regional quality and environmental systems management and process analysis. Steven also has experience working at Ormet Primary Aluminum Corporation as a quality coordinator and quality control technician. Steven's career began in the US Navy, where they served as a Petty Officer Aviation Electronics. Overall, they have a diverse background in operations, supply chain, quality management, and leadership.

Steven Kirkland completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Organizational Leadership and Development from Wheeling University in 2003. Steven also participated in the Executive Leadership Development Program at Aleris until 2018. In addition, they pursued a Strategic Leadership in Reliability and Maintenance program at the Tickle College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee until 2016. Furthermore, Steven completed the Executive Supply Chain Management Program at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2010. In terms of certifications, they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt from SAI Global Assurance in April 2005, a Six Sigma Champion certification in September 2004, and a Six Sigma Green Belt in September 2004 as well. Steve also holds an inactive RAB QMS Auditor certification from Exemplar Global, Inc., obtained in January 2002, and an inactive Certified Qualified Auditor certification from American Society for Quality.
