Amanda Barker GAICD has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Amanda started their career in 2001 as a Senior Programs Manager/Acting Director at Springvale Community Aid and Advice Bureau Incorporated, where they improved operational efficiency, developed partnerships, and managed government contracts. Amanda then joined ASIC in 2009 as a National Senior Manager, Community Outreach Education, where they created and implemented national educational campaigns and received recognition for their outstanding achievements.

In 2015, Amanda moved on to the Victorian Equal Opportunity & Human Rights Commission as a Senior Manager of Education and Consultancy Service, leading advocacy and strategic partnerships focused on diversity and inclusion. Amanda later joined Carlton Football Club in 2016 as a General Manager, where they managed board members and developed the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy for gender equality, recognized by the United Nations.

Amanda's sustainability expertise led their to VicSuper in 2018, where they served as the Head of Sustainability. Amanda implemented sustainable finance initiatives and played a key role in raising awareness of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Amanda also worked at Aware Super as Global ESG Corporate Responsibility/Sustainability.

Additionally, Amanda held positions at the Credit & Investments Ombudsman as a Non-Executive Board Member, the Australian Human Rights Commission as a Senior Business Consultant, and the Australian Sustainable Finance Institute as a Subject Matter Expert. Amanda also served as a Gender Equity Victoria Board Member.

Throughout their career, Amanda has demonstrated their ability to lead, develop strategic partnerships, and drive positive change in the community.
