David Bamforth has over three decades of work experience in the financial planning industry. David began their career at Centrelink in 1989 as a Customer Service Officer and later held the role of Complex Assessment Officer. In 2001, they transitioned to the Financial Information Service (FIS) division at Centrelink, where they worked until 2004.

In 2004, David joined ANZ as a Financial Planner, providing financial advice and support to clients. David held this position until 2011 when they were promoted to Commercial Financial Planner within the same company. David continued in this role until 2020.

Currently, David works as a Financial Planner at Aware Super, a position they have held since August 2020.

David Bamforth completed their high school education at Henry Kendall High School from 1983 to 1988, obtaining their HSC (High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates). In 2001 to 2002, they pursued an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) at Deakin University and Kaplan. From 2018 to 2020, they attended Kaplan Professional, where they earned a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, specializing in Financial Planning and Services.
