Michael de Silva Caia

Michael De Silva, CAIA, started their work experience at KPMG Australia in December 2019, where they worked as an Audit, Assurance, and Risk Consulting professional until February 2020. Following their time at KPMG, they joined NGS Super in February 2021 as a Graduate Investment Analyst in Real Assets. Michael then transitioned to the role of Investment Analyst in Real Assets in April 2022 and worked there until July 2023. Currently, they are employed at Aware Super, starting in July 2023, with their role as an Investment Analyst ongoing.

Michael De Silva, CAIA, pursued a Double Degree in Actuarial Studies and Science (neuroscience) from UNSW from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at William Clarke College in 2016. Michael has obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. In November 2022, they achieved the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) certification from the CAIA Association. In July 2021, they obtained the RG146 Foundations of Super credential from the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees. Furthermore, they received the Financial Modelling Techniques for Real Estate Investment certification from Mazars - Financial modelling in August 2023 and the Renewable Energy Project Finance Modeling certification from Pivotal180 in May 2023. Additionally, Michael has pursued the UniFi by CAIA™ Private Debt Microcredential, although the specific details regarding its completion are not provided.
