Dave Steen has a diverse work experience in the woodworking industry. Dave started their career as a Cabinet Maker at The Cabinet Shop Ltd. and then moved on to work as a Cabinet Maker at LEBY Fixtures & Interiors. Dave then joined Commercial Case & Woodworking (CCW / Country Charm Woodworking Ltd.) where they worked as a CAD Drafting Technician, Purchasing, Project Manager, and Cabinetmaker for 15 years. After that, they worked at Glenwood Kitchen Ltd. as a Drafter and Purchaser. Dave later worked at Quincaillerie Richelieu Ltée/Richelieu Hardware Ltd as a Customer Service / Sales representative and then at Würth McFadden's Inc. as an Inside Sales Representative. Currently, Dave works as a Project Engineer at Procase Cabinets. In the future, they will be taking on a new role as the Director of AWMAC Atlantic at the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada.

Dave Steen attended the NBCC (New Brunswick Community College) from 2002 to 2003, where they obtained a Certification in Wood Processing Techniques from the Woodworking Centre of Excellence. Additionally, they hold several additional certifications, including First Aid from St. John Ambulance Canada | Ambulance Saint-Jean, obtained in October 2021, the Joint Health and Safety Committee and Health and Safety Representative Educational Program from the New Brunswick Construction Safety Association, obtained in March 2021, and another Certification in Wood Processing Techniques from NBCC, obtained in June 2003.
