Fiona Wood

Fiona Wood is a Senior Advisor at AWR Lloyd, where support is provided to the CEO on assets, ventures, and projects in the energy, resources, and infrastructure sectors within the Indo-Pacific region. An independent consultant since 2011, expertise focuses on science, technology, and innovation, particularly in research translation and talent development in advanced STEM fields. Fiona serves as a monitor and expert rapporteur for the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, and acts as a consultant for The Business-University Forum of Japan. Additionally, roles as a mentor with FasterCapital and a business advisory board member at StickyCell leverage international policy insights to improve healthcare outcomes. Past experience includes serving as a vice-chair and expert evaluator for the European Commission, an industry fellow at Queensland University of Technology, and as an expert reviewer for the French National Research Agency. Fiona holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Sociology of Science from The Australian National University and a PhD in science policy from the University of New England.
