Mark Gilligan

Mark Gilligan is the Head of Infrastructure at AXA Investment Managers, leading a multidisciplinary team focused on European infrastructure investments with an emphasis on decarbonisation, electrification, and digitalisation since October 2016. Prior to this role, Mark was the Head of Infrastructure Equity, Europe at UBS Asset Management from January 2007 to September 2016, where responsibilities included managing direct infrastructure investments. Mark's career began as a Lawyer at Mallesons Stephen Jaques from 1997 to 2007, specializing in corporate advisory and mergers & acquisitions in the natural resources and infrastructure sectors. Earlier experience includes roles as an Engineering Geologist at ERM and Groundwater Technology, managing various environmental assessments and municipal systems. Mark holds a Master of Laws in Corporate Finance and Securities Law from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Technology Sydney, along with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geology from UNSW.
